does he use a slider?? I thought it was just Fastball, Curveball and Change. I heard he was working on a cutter/slider. Could be wrong but I do know this - He's fun to watch!!

Yes he has a big sweeping slider he just doesn't use it much.

He throws fastballs down the middle when his catcher calls a breaking ball
I think walks are overrated unless you can run. If you get a walk and put the pitcher in a stretch, that helps, but the guy who walks and can’t run, most of the time he’s clogging up the bases for somebody who can run. – Dusty Baker.

no I like the rays. did you watch yesterdays game?

Moore pitched great but this one pitch to tie it was a mistake. molina called a breaking ball and moore shook it off (which is not good in a full count because now jackson could be sure that a FB was coming and hit it out).

after that they talked about 5 minutes in the dugout (actually molina was doing most of the talking). It was a mistake but he will learn from this.

(and please start all those rays players threads in the rays section and not in current scene)

    Yes we can.

Individual player discussion of this nature does really belong in the forum of the respective team. If other teams are directly involved, fine, but this is about one pitcher and his effectiveness. That's a Rays thing.
