    Cowtipper's Deaths Thread

I think it's nice idea on Cowtipper's part. It's nice tip of the cap to those players who we may have forgotten about, but still deserve some recognition for their contributions.

My problem is where it's located. To have a thread about the passing of another human being in a section labeled "Light Hearted Baseball Frivolites" seems somewhat inappropriate. Not offensive, but out of place at best.

Perhaps a sticky in the history section would be a more fitting little tribute?

Imho, that's not a bad idea. I'm not sure if it'll be stickied, but we'll probably give some thought to the relocation.

In my opinion, I think a sticky is warranted. In a site that covers almost every aspect of the sport, having a thread for obituaries of former players and others who were around the game is, as I said before, a nice little tip of the cap. It would be nice to be able keep it up for the sake of posterity.

In any case, I'm glad to see it in a spot that just makes a lot more sense. Thanks fellas. And keep it up Cowtipper.

I'm pretty sure it'll always remain somewhere near the top of the first page anyway. A sticky is, at least for the foreseeable future, unnecessary. But I agree it's now in a more appropriate forum.
