    Bryan LaHair: The Real Deal?

Bryan LaHair is only now truly getting a full time chance to play at the age of 30 and he has certainly proved his worth. He may be in a bit of a slump right now, but I don't believe his minor league statistics and his statistics to date lie. My question is, do you think Bryan LaHair is ultimately the real deal or do you see him as a, "Quad A" player?

Two weeks ago this guy killed me in my fantasy baseball league since then the team he was on has dropped him. I don't really think he's the real deal but I am intrigued by him and almost wanna pick him up for my team but I don't trust him yet. I have Prince Fielder as my firstbasemen so it would be hard for me to bench Fielder for LaHair too. I can see a 25 homer 80 rbi with a 290 average type of year though.

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

Quad A Player might be too harsh, but he is not an elite player. His numbers suggest he has been more lucky than good.

Tweedlebee...Is your avatar what you would get if the Colonel Sanders logo and the Drew Carey Show logo had a baby or what?

As for LaHair, all I know is that his last two years in the minors have been absolutely stellar in just about every aspect.

Good call on the Harry Caray logo. I never saw that before, but I see it now.

LaHair's BABIP, HR/FB, Contact Rate, and Eye all suggest his numbers are going to show he is closer to being an average player than an elite player by the end of the season.
