    Scott Podsednik

I saw he hit a homerun yesterday for the Redsox. I never understood this guy though. He always seems to do pretty well but he gets released every year. I suppose it's basically because he's injury prone.

He seems to be really well liked by fans on every team he's been on too. I know the Whitesox and Brewer fans really loved this guy. He seems to have a nice buzz about him in Boston and it's only been a few days since he's gotten there.
"(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

Pretty crazy that Podsednik AND Nick Johnson homered in the same game.

For his career Podsednik is a below average hitter who plays LF. That's a tough row to hoe.

    His wife is gorgeous though.

Is the OF at Fenway Park an abandoned mine field or something?

A starting OF of Podsednik, Nava, and A-Gon? Who'd have predicted THAT?

We're really scraping the bottom of the old depth chart right now!

well that happens when about 5 OFers inlcuding your two best ones are injured.
I think walks are overrated unless you can run. If you get a walk and put the pitcher in a stretch, that helps, but the guy who walks and can’t run, most of the time he’s clogging up the bases for somebody who can run. – Dusty Baker.
