Hey DJC, you should check out the Dream Ballpark thread in the Ballparks, Stadiums, and Green Diamond Forum. Myself and a bunch of other guys create 3-D fictional ballparks on this computer program and I would be interested in creating a few parks for these new teams and Im sure some of the other members would be interested in making some too.

    Only if you were interested.

Sure, feel free. You might want to wait until we settle on team locations and nicknames, but I suppose you could get started if you like.

BombSquad: Generally speaking, there need to be at least two teams in a league in order for any games to be played.

I think Kansas City cannot sustain a MLB franchise.

Thanks for voting, but you've got one too many locations -- which one would you like to drop?

OK, it's pretty clear by now which locations will make the cut: every metro area which presently has an MLB team (including 2 in NYC, LA, and Chicago) with the exception of Tampa and Oakland. Discounting the voters which are not yet qualified due to not selecting 28 sites, Miami ranks as the 28th highest vote-getter, with 9 votes. Coming in tied for 29th are Portland, Tampa, Montreal, and Orlando, all of which have only 5 votes. So it's a fairly wide gap. As such, I'm calling it here, although it would have been more interesting if we had some locations in there which were not actual MLB sites.

Next phase is determining the divisional alignment of the teams based on their geography. I'll put up a thread shortly.

Sorry, I thought I counted 28 . I will drop Las Vegas which was a home town choice anyway!
