Leader of the group that bought the team from Lou Perini in 1962. Instrumental in moving the club to Atlanta in 1966, bringing Baseball to the newly desegregated south. Principal owner until he sold controlling interest to Ted Turner in 1976. Member of the actual Braves team Hall of Fame.

I know they'll be considered seperately but they both joined the team's broadcast booth for the 1976 season and were it's core for the next three decades.

Those two guys were, simply, the voices that narrated the rise of the team from an after thought to their central place in the National League.

The voice of the Braves from the early 1960's until his retirement after the '89 season, with occasional spot duty after that. Member of the team's 1957 World Champion and 1958 NL Pennant winning teams and member of the Braves Hall of Fame.
