Don Werner on an OMLB on the sweet spot in six days at his residence. Another member of the 1975 Reds. Now I only need Fred Norman, Ed Armbrister, Tom Carroll, Clay Kirby (deceased), Bill Plummer, and John Vukovich (deceased) to have all of the 1975 Reds on a OMLB.

Gotta admit, I'm not big on auto's - especially those not authenticated. But 100% kudos to you guys for going through what could be considered and exasperating exercise. I pop on here not just for your successes, but thinking about how much some of the "nobodies" from baseball history must get a kick out of being requested for a signature - well after they retired with not a whole lot to show in terms of MLB relevance.

    Nice job everybody!

Thanks BG...TTM autos are never going to be worth what an certified auto is, but very few of us are doing it for the money. I love that you can take a total throw-away card and for less than $1, end up with a cool collectible.

You're right about the "nobodies"...I think they like getting mail. I've had more than a few write back and thank me for my letter and interest in their career.

You are quite correct Sir! Almost impossible would be a better description. It is weird but he lives less than 45 minutes from me and I have watched the local newspapers for an appearance by him somewhere in the Triad area of North Carolina for years. He has never made any type of appearance at any dealership, card show, or baseball stadium. Most of the local former athletes will make an appearance from time to time but not him. Evidently he is just very reclusive.

I've been playing on a 40+ team when I can this season and they picked up a guy who had part of a season in the majors. I asked about auto requests and he said he gets plenty...he wasn't sure why people would care since he wasn't a star, but he does appreciate the attention. He's a hell of a nice guy and, yes, is dominant in our league when he's healthy.
