congratulations, Jason!
the Gold Sox trade Don Baylor, Ron LeFlore, and the Gold Sox' 3rd-round pick in 1986 to the Thunder for Tommy Boggs. Craig will confirm.
The Thunder confirm!
Don Baylor is now on the block. He's signed for 1.5M through this season. If anyone needs a RH bat, Baylor can be had very cheaply. Any reasonable offer will be accepted! First come, first serve.

Just a reminder the following players are still on the trading block ...
Thunder:
David Palmer - Only 1M contract, given what pitching is going for in the FA market, he's a bargin!
Don Money - 148 OPS+ and he's rated to 3B, 2B, and 1B! 4.5M through this season.
Tyrants -
Davey Lopes 6.25M offers a solid season in 82 and then a potential all star year in 83!
Duane Kuiper 2B with a 101 OPS+ fueled by a high OBP. He's making the minimum wage this year.
Bruce Bochte, only 2M this year and another high OBP guy. Rated to play 1B and LF.
EDIT: Just realized I accidentially named Jim Palmer as being available. Unfortunately for all of us, that is not the case. I have David Palmer on the Thunder roster. Not quite the same level of ability, but he does have some value!

Just to let everyone know, I am headed to Tulsa this weekend to run a half marathon. I'll be leaving on Friday and won't be back home until Monday evening. I'll have internet access and will check in from time to time but if I don't get back to you quickly on a trade discussions I'm not ignoring you.

Good luck Dan.
Yes, good luck Dan. I fear that if I ran a half marathon it would be the last thing I ever did...![]()
You see, you spend a good deal of your life gripping a baseball and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. J. Bouton
I could walk a half marathon. I don't think I've run more than about 50 feet in a strech for years though.
It's not too bad...just one foot in front of the other for a couple of hours.![]()

--I've got the Knights and Corsairs rosters up to date in the Roster Thread. I encourage everyone to keep those current to make things easier for your fellow owners.
I do a lot of hiking so could do a half marathon walking (came close actually earlier this year geocaching; climbed a mountain and hiked 10+ miles), but the running would wipe out my knees. Used to run 4 to 5 miles day until the knees couldn't take it anymore. Now I try to walk 3 to 4 miles each day.

Don't think I announced contract lengths from the last round so ....
Tyrants
Bill Campbell gets a 1 year deal
Thunder
Claudell Washington gets a 3 year deal
Tony Armas gets a 3 year deal
Joel Youngblood gets a 2 year deal
John Matlack gets a 1 year deal
And both of my clubs are still looking to make a deal or two!
Thunder:
David Palmer - Only 1M contract, given what pitching is going for in the FA market, he's a bargin!
Don Money - 148 OPS+ and he's rated to 3B, 2B, and 1B! 4.5M through this season.
John Matlack - 110 ERA+ in nearly 150 IP. Only making 2.25 through 82. If you're a little short on starting pitching, Matlack could put you over the edge.
Tony Armas - Signed for a mere 1.25 through 84. He's an ok RF this year, but in 84 he blossoms to a 121 OPS+ and is rated for both CF and RF.
Tyrants -
Davey Lopes 6.25M offers a solid season in 82 and then a potential all star year in 83!
Duane Kuiper 2B with a 101 OPS+ fueled by a high OBP. He's making the minimum wage this year.
Bruce Bochte, only 2M this year and another high OBP guy. Rated to play 1B and LF.
The Tyrants are also looking for another starting pitcher, preferrably someone with a high GB rating. We've got 5M in cap space to work with and of course can deal one of the above players to make more cap space available.
