Because baseball is a zero-sum game, what happens for a hitter is counterbalanced by what happens to a pitcher. If the newness of my idea could be forgiven, I wondered whether it would be possible to calculate Pythagorean W/L as you would for hitters, but from the pitcher's standpoint. Use what a pitcher has yielded for TBs, hits, walks, official ABs and the rest for whatever level of sophistication one desires for Runs Created. The results would seem to provide a close approximation to that of Pythagorean results as we know today, but from the other side of the pitch.
What pitfalls would exist?
