I'm tired of people trying to deprive people who want fun of having fun and unique things. I'm sick of people who want baseball to continue to be boring and generic looking and maintaining awful "traditional" looks. Make no mistake, there's a sizeable portion of what's left of the Seattle Mariners fanbase that loves the old uniforms, that believes that the old were fun and unique, would love to see the old uniforms again and would love for the organization to finally close the door on the 1990s, which ironically would mean, opening the door on the 1980s! The old stuff kicks anything current's butt. The fans want the trident and they want the old uniforms and they want them now. It's time to turn the page.

Seattle Mariners' 1981-86 uniforms are both retro and contemporary!

Outside of Ken Griffey Jr. being drafted, 1987 probably was one of the worst years in Seattle Mariners history. Why did they turn their back on their greatest uniforms and logo? These are the questions we've never received answers to. It's never too late to correct that terrible decision and unretire their greatest uniforms and logos so that an entire new generation can enjoy them! Here is an outstanding contemporary Ichiro t-shirt, ironically, by Majestic.

The Mariners were willing to go 'Back to the Future' by offering their managerial job to Sweet Lou, let's continue to hope and demand they go 'Back to the Future' by unretiring their greatest uniforms! There was some spirited discussion recently over at Lookout Landing about new Mariners uniforms and logos, and going back to the 1980s was the overwhelming consensus! No surprise, the Seattle Mariners 1981-1986 uniforms and more specifically, the 1985 & 1986 uniforms were the best in the history of baseball! Can you imagine Kyle Seager wearing this jersey? I can and I know you can too!

Former Mariners manager Rene Lachemann. I really want that hat, I have a feeling everybody does! What was old is new again! Seattle Mariners: Back to the Future!!!!

The minority in 1987 has become the majority in 2013! We want our Mariners greatest uniforms (1981-1986) and our Mariners greatest logo (Trident-Star) and we want them now!
Seattle Mariners fans want fun. They want the Mariners to set trends and blaze trails. They want the Mariners to do their part changing the boring culture of baseball. They want to experience a nautical theme at the ballpark! They want to go Back to the Future!

Seattle Mariners wall clock with the wordmark logo the fans want in the colors the fans want. It's about having a fun unique brand identity!

Who is "we" and "our"? That implies plural. You're the only one, dude lol!

The Seattle Mariners fan base. You're not a Mariners fan so this doesn't concern you. You're not privy to the conversations and other communications that I've had. This is a movement. Hell, if you have actually paid attention to the Mariners promo dept. the last several years, you would understand what is going on "dude".

Right now, the hope is that when the Seattle Mariners go Back to the Future and unretire their 1981-1986 look, they also wear blue gloves again! How's that for color coodination? True to the Blue? You better believe it!

Yes, the Seattle Mariners need to go Back to the Future in so many ways. By unretiring their 1981-1986 uniforms, or more specifically their 1985 & 1986 uniforms. They need to use the trident logo or the trident star logo in an official capacity. They need to once again have blue and gold as their color scheme. They also need Safeco Field to adopt a nautical theme as well as adopt the same blue and gold color scheme. You go to Safeco, and there is nothing there that tells me, the Mariners play there. It looks like every other generic mallpark. Bring back the tugboat, put a U.S.S. Mariner ship out in "The Pen". Make the Mariners and Safeco Field unique and distinctive.

Blog post about the Seattle Mariners 1981-1986 cap. There are some typos and errors though.

Besides having the Mariners wear their greatest uniforms again, 1981-1986, can the Mariners give Safeco some nautical themes for once? Make baseball fun.

Looks like I jumped the gun earlier today when I deleted my post from yesterday. Robinson Cano is indeed a Mariner and he wants to develop his "brand". We know what needs to be done. Cano and the Mariners need to be relatable to the consumers. They need to resonate with the consumers. They need to stand out and catch eyes and imaginations. We know what that means and what needs to be done to accomplish that. The Seattle Mariners need to go Back to the Future to fulfill their dreams, to fulfill their players dreams, to fulfill their fans dreams. Unretire the greatest uniforms in franchise history and make our collective dreams come true! Yes to the trident star! No to the boring compass rose. Yes to Mariners blue and gold! #24 isn't available, and Cano probably will not want #16, but I believe Cano's old #22 is now available with Wedge gone. Guys, let's do this! Also, remember add the triple-stripe trim that was on the 1977-80 jersey to the 1981-86 jersey for a whole new and exciting look!

Because it is that time of year and people need to stay warm. A "retro" themed New Era Seattle Mariners knit cap. IMO, there's too many S'es and not enough tridents. Don't mix eras.

Remember what our objective is, for the Seattle Mariners to go Back to the Future and unretire their 1981-1986 home uniform and also unretire their road uniform from 1985 & 1986! We need this to happen. You saw the Cano press conference and saw how stale that crappy 1993 jersey is. It's time for a brand overhaul.

The Seattle Mariners should strive to look like the Seattle Mariners, not the Seahawks or Sounders. Blue and gold are Seattle Mariners colors, past, present and future! If the Mariners want to have anything in common with the Seahawks and Sounders, it should be the use of pullover jerseys!

Seattle Mariners 1981-86 uniforms had pullover jerseys with racing stripes, bring them back!
