Again, I can't stress this enough, that Roberto Clemente and the 1970 Pittsburgh Pirates are the reason this thread, the only one like it, anywhere on the internet, exists. They are the true pioneers of the Ultimate Baseball Look. 45 years went by and there was just not enough hoopla to commemorate this moment in history that cannot be shrugged off as something not significant, because it is.

Houston Astros fans do love the rainbow v-neck pullover jerseys. We cannot deny it.

Joe Torre as a player and manager of the St. Louis Cardinals. One thing that didn't change was pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants, the Ultimate Baseball Look!

The Astros and Rangers are wearing throwback uniforms tonight July 18, 2015. I just wish the Astros would mix in their blue bp v-neck pullover jerseys more often, well, a first time would be great.

18 years ago today, July 19, 1997, at the Kingdome, the Seattle Mariners brought back the trident, for a day to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Ebbets Field Flannels didn't quite get it right.

Happy Birthday to "Hendu" Dave Henderson, the best dressed player in Seattle Mariners history. He definitely was a Mariner during the Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform! He should be in the Mariners Hall of Fame for that alone, forget Dan Wilson.

Today is Toronto Blue Jays ace Dave Stieb's birthday. When that happens we are reminded on how superior v-neck pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants are to anything in the world.

The make-up game is today.

St. Louis Cardinals retro 1985 uniform on July 23, 2015. This does nothing for me, it really doesn't. The full-length pants just ruin what could have been a decent look.

Happy Birthday to the greatest player of all-time, Barry Bonds. Here is Barry Bonds in the greatest Pittsburgh Pirates road uniforms, v-neck pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants with that striped elastic waistband, the Ultimate Baseball Look. Which do we like better, team name or city? I believe the team name is almost always preferred.

Barry Bonds, as a 19 year old first baseman with the Alaska Goldpanners of Fairbanks during the 1983 NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas.

Doug Drabek in the Pittsburgh Pirates best home uniform ever, sorry Roberto. As mentioned previously, the best baseball uniforms, like the best basketball uniforms, all have the striped elastic waistband in common with each other. Michael Jordan of the Bulls and Karl Malone of the Jazz.

Toronto Blue Jays concept by ccslc user "Djruggs". I don't understand why the guy located the Blue Jays logo off to the left when one of the many positive attributes a pullover jersey has over anything else in the world is that you can put logos in the center of the jersey, where they belong! Grow the game.

The Charleston RiverDogs tweeted this pic of Roberto Alomar with the 1985 Charleston Rainbows. Just outstanding uniforms.

Charleston RiverDogs wore Charleston Rainbows v-neck pullover jerseys Monday. These jersey simply look like BP jerseys. They would have been otherworldy if they had orange, yellow and green trim on the collar.

Rod Carew and the Minnesota Twins appear to be in some sort of disagreement with the Kansas City Royals. We however, are in agreement that that, was truly the Golden Age of the Baseball Uniform The fans want baseball uniforms to be free of buttons and belts again.

Former Texas Longhorn, 1992 Olympian and San Francisco Giant Calvin Murray is 44 today. While at college, Murray, now a Scott Boras employee, played two summers for the summer collegiate Anchorage Bucs. They're not MLB, but the Anchorage Bucs from that era are in the argument for greatest baseball uniforms of all-time! Pullover jerseys and sansabelt baseball pants are what the fans and players want and need again. It's like a drug and the only treatment is making the game of baseball better to look at.

Gregg Jefferies in that great Tidewater Tidesroad v-neck pullover jersey with the racing stripes we all just seem to require! It's good that there seems to be a growing push to have the Norfolk Tides change their name back to Tidewater!
