We've got five votes so far in this project, one short of the quorum.Seen on a bumper sticker: If only closed minds came with closed mouths.
Some minds are like concrete--thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.
A Lincoln: I don't think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday.

Still in need of a sixth vote in this project. I'll make a post in the AIR project to see if that helps draw any more votes.Seen on a bumper sticker: If only closed minds came with closed mouths.

Ballot 2013:
1 Mike Piazza
2 Jeff Bagwell
3 Mike Mussina
4 Jim Edmonds
5 Kevin Brown
6 Kenny Lofton
7 Bret Saberhagen
8 Sammy Sosa
9 Darrell Evans
10 Roberto Alomar
11 Rafael Palmeiro
12 David Cone
Realizing I am late to the game, but why elect Jeff Kent and not Jim Edmonds?
Based on raw totals, Kent is impressive, but when you take into account the replacement level of players at this position (2B was/is on the order of 3B/CF), big years during easier to dominate/expansion NL seasons (late 90s/early 00s), mediocre/averagish defense/baserunning, I see him as falling short of our standards.

JarofFlies' contributor ballot was late, so that doesn't count. Sorry. We are inducting Roberto Alomar, Jeff Bagwell, and Mike Piazza among the players. Piazza and Bagwell were first and second, and Alomar was third and on every ballot, so he's in also. On the contributor side, we had a three way tie among Shigeru Mizuhara, William Wheaton, and John Schuerholtz. All were on the same number of ballots, so that meant going to the looking at the order voters listed the candidates on their ballots, and Mizuhara won that tiebreaker and thus became the inductee. The official results, players first:
Code:106 Piazza, Mike 100 Bagwell, Jeff 79 Alomar, Roberto 73 Mussina, Mike 44 Kent, Jeff 43 Lofton, Kenny 25 Hoffman, Trevor 23 Edmonds, Jim 19 Puckett, Kirby 16 Palmiero, Rafael 15 McGriff, Fred 14 Brown, Kevin 13 Bando, Sal 13 Sosa, Sammy 11 Mullane , Tony 8 Aparicio, Luis 8 Enatsu, Yutaka 8 Smith, Chino 7 Belle, Albert 7 Rixey, Eppa 6 Donaldson, John 6 Saberhagen, Bret 5 Dandridge, Ray 5 Grimes , Burleigh 5 Quisenberry, Dan 5 Shocker, Urban 4 Beckley , Jake 4 Evans, Darrell 4 Munson, Thurman 4 Olerud, John 3 Duffy , Hugh 3 Sewell , Joe 3 Willaims, Bernie 2 Fingers, Rollie 2 Howard, Frank 2 Murphy, Dale 2 Nettles, Graig 1 Clarkson, Bus 1 Cone, David 1 Pierce, Billy 1 Pike, Lip 1 Poles, Spotswood

No surprise on the player side; next year should also supply a number of candidates to keep us busy for a while. I suspect the old backlog will be pushed down by the modern players.
I'm ok with the Mizuhara election, but I didn't quite see the resume of Kawakami, Shoriki, or Tsuruoka when I looked at them. I'd like to get back to the western hemisphere at this point.
