I'm looking for a list of which games NBC broadcasted as the Game of the Week 1977-1979. Do you know if that information is saved anywhere? And after I figure out which game I want, the follow-up question will be: Does anyone know if copies of those games exists and if so where to get them?

Don't know how close you are to the New York area, and it might involve a lot of grunt work, but if your local or county library has The New York Times on microfilm, you could look through the sports or TV sections of those.
Also, you might want to try the Paley Center for Media's website (I believe it is www.paleycenter.org) ans you might be able to find something there.
IIRC, the game where Billy Martin took Reggie Jackson out of the game for not hustling was an NBC game of the week in 1977. Couldn't tell you exactly when it was, though.

There was a guy over on youtube that was posting a lot of the Game of the Week telecasts. I don't know if MLB or someone else came down and had a bunch of them removed, but there were some of the old NBC GotW telecasts from around that time anyway. I was watching them a lot during the past year, but many don't seem to be posted anymore. I think his name was MLB Classic11, or a combo of those 3 parts (maybe Classic MLB 11, you can find it on youtube).
I hope the game you are looking for is still around online for free. I know it was a blast watching a bunch of those games from the 1970s and 1980s, sure brought back a ton of great memories! Many of the games he posted still had the original commercials from whenever they aired or taped in various markets around the country - so you could see the national commercials we all saw back then, and also the local ones that only aired in that market. It was a bonus, and really the only time I ever enjoy (or can even stand) watching advertisements."It ain't braggin' if you can do it." Dizzy Dean

The only two I know of that circulate among traders is the 4-15-78 Cardinal-Philly game and the 6-9-79 NY-KC game
