I was watching Bartolo Colon pitch tonight, and I wondered how many former Expos are still playing Major League Baseball.
How many are left?

If Colon only lasts through the end of this season then the Expos will rank last in terms of how long was it that we had the last active player in the majors from a defunct/relocated franchise:
Washington Senators (1960) -Jim Kaat (1983)
Milwaukee Braves (1965) - Phil Niekro (1987)
Boston Braves (1952) - Eddie Mathews (1968)
New York Giants (1957) - Willie Mays (1973)
Washington Senators (1971) - Toby Harrah (1986)
St. Louis Browns (1954) - Don Larsen (1967)
Brooklyn Dodgers (1957) - Bob Aspromante (1970)
Seattle Pilots (1969) - Fred Stanley (1982)
Always a minimum of 13 years with every other team.

The Philadelphia Athletics and Kansas City Athletics weren't included on the list.
Kansas city: The answer is pretty obvious because in 1967 the A's last year in Kansas city, Reggie Jackson was just in his 1st year of a 21 year career.
Kansas City (1967); Reggie Jackson (1987).
Philadelphia Athletics (1954) : the last survivor probably comes from the following group with none of them playing much beyond the mid-1960s:
Vic Power, Bobby Shantz, Gus Zernial, Elmer Valo, John Gray, Art Ditmar.
.......and further research shows that the longest-lasting Phila. Athletic was Vic Power (1965) who lasted one year longer than Bobby Shantz.Last edited by philliesfiend55; 07-04-2017, 04:52 PM.

Bartolo Colon threw a Complete Game last night at 44 years and 72 days old. He becomes the oldest AL pitcher to toss CG win since Nolan Ryan in 1992.
