Not a very good game all around, so let's try to look at some positives again, as we should do in spring: Hector Olivera and Willians Astudillo, a former Phillies farmhand, had two hits apiece. Julio Teheran was just okay in his first spring game. I can't say any of the pitching was particularly good, so I think we can just take amusement that two guys with names so close together hit homers for Atlanta.
Braves 5, Marlins 2
W - Bud Norris (1-0, 1.80)
L - Justin Nicolino (0-1, 4.15)
S - David Holmberg (1S, 3.00)
HR - Jeff Francoeur (1)
Yes, Frenchy hit a home run. Punch his ticket on the team.... someday! Bud Norris allowed just a run in his three innings, which is probably the best that can be expected out of him in any case. Adonis Garcia was the only Brave to have multiple hits, which helps him continue his well-played winter and spring this off-season. Lucas Sims rebounded to strike out four Marlins in two innings in his second spring appearance. Daniel Winkler and David Holmberg, a reliever with the Reds last season, finished scoreless innings for Atlanta.
