Do teams with higher or lower park factors win more games?

Basic question, or not so basic perhaps. Do teams with parks that favored hitters tend to have a built in home field advantage, or teams with pitchers parks, or is there no statistical advantage?

It seems to me that in the case of the Rockies, it really hurts them to have a hitters park because of wear and tear on the pitching staff, and also that the hitters MAY get spoiled at home and struggle on the road. Also, you end up having to pay hitters more because their stats look better, but you have to pay pitchers more to pay because they don't want their stats to be ruined.

    Here is a starting point:

The park factor is based on the data in the lahman database.

When put into three categories it looks like this:

Both are significant, but an R-squared of around .02. Does not seem too meaningful.

It does hint at the idea that teams in better hitting parks have more success.

"Batting stats and pitching stats do not indicate the quality of play, merely which part of that struggle is dominant at the moment."
