On page 9 you showed Roric Harrison. Another bit of trivia about him is that he was part of the trade between the 1969 Astros and Pilots that took Jim Bouton to Houston. Dooley Womack and Roric for Bouton.

From "Ball Four"(after finding out about the trade) - "Dooley Womack? Holy Mackerel. The same Dooley Womack whose great spring I almost matched with the Yankees? Oh Lord! I hope there's alot of undisclosed cash involved. I hope a hundred thousand,at least. Maybe it's me for a hundred thousand and Dooley Womack is just a throw-In.I'd hate to think at this stage of my career I was being traded even up for Dooley Womack."

He wasn't.Roric was the throw-In!

JG Fan, if I remember my Seattle Pilot history correctly, didn't John Gelnar once lose both ends of a double header to Minnesota while Jim Perry won both games?

I also have a John Gelnar baseball card (1965 vintage) - a 1965 Rookie Stars card where he is next to Jerry May during their days in the Pirate organization.

Good memory Iron Jaw. Someone else reminded me of that earlier but without details.Yes,it's true. He actually took 3 losses in a row.
On 7/19/69,the Pilots and Twins played 18 innings,kind of. Bouton got his only start and allowed 2 homers in 3.2 Innings.The game was suspended after 16 innings and completed on 7/20.Perry got the win with 2 innings of scoreless relief. Gelnar allowed 4 runs in 1.1 Minn. won 11-7.Don Mincher went 0-9!
They both started the regulation game on sunday,7/20 (That wouldn't happen these days,would it?) Minn. won 4-0 and Perry pitched a 3 hit shutout.Gelnar allowed 3 runs in 7 Innings.
The Pilots played the Red Sox next and won on 7/24. Gelnar took their next loss,the next day on 7/25.
Just so I don't get yelled at,Marv Throneberry hit .208 in 56 games for the O's in 1961 and .000 in 9 games In 62' before being traded to the Mets.

He hit three home runs on two different opening days with the Reds and the Orioles and he hlds the record with eight.
