Chicago White Sox send $1.5m cash and 3 players to be named later (Util Rich Aurilia, RP Mike MacDougal, and RP Dustin Hermanson) to Kansas City Royals for 1B Justin Huber.
Royals could use bullpen and offensive help of any kind. White Sox don't have roster spots for these three come late May and Sox also need a young 1B of the future considering Konerko and Thome are in their 30s.

NYM place SP Jose Contreras on the 15-day disabled list with a mild hip strain. He should be back in the rotation by as early as May 19.
ESPN reports SP Ben Sheets has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder tightness.
It is not yet official, but the Mets are prepared to put him on the list.
