Beautiful Wrigley Field:
Boxing configuration:
Wrigley and the Coliseum from an aerial survey:
If you think what someone has to say is so worthless you don't want to see it then it should be easy to ignore any evidence of it. . If you don't feel like you can have a usefull and/or civil discussion with another member then don't engage them. Posts can be ignored even without using the ignore feature. Regardless of what the other party may have said to annoy you, dumping on them can only lead to negative consequences - and makes the thread unpleasant for everybody else.
O'Malley abandoned Wrigley Field before Ebbets was cold in its grave.
You should check out this narrative that I made about the ballpark:

The Mighty Casey episode of The Twilight Zone--filmed at Wrigley Field:

I saw the old LA ANGELS of the PCL there in 1956 and 1957
I know these are very similar but hey, it's Wrigley Field--and it's gone!
She was a beauty in color:

ny giants spring training at wrigley field...
Paull--any idea what year this is?
it's 1933...
Two aerials of Wrigley Field, plus Walter O'Malley gloating. That's just wrong!
Wrigley Field's lighting was known for being poor.
Mickey Mantle home run--probably during Home Run Derby filming:
Great story I only saw two games there one in 56 and one in 57 I also witnessed one game at Gilmore Field in 57, I did not live in LA at the time my mother and I would make a cross country trip by train in the summers to visit my brother and sister who had relocated their families to LA from Massachusetts When I returned home my friends would tease me about the Angels and Stars, saying never heard of them. Now I live in Reno NV and we have the Reno Aces who if you trace the teams history were in 1957 the SF Seals. The team moved to Phoenix then Tucson and in 2009 to Reno.
watch that 1st step! life mag, '61...
