--Its been great fun beating up on the doormats, but I'm not sure this reflects the real talent level of my club. In fact, I'm sure it doesn't. My first 12 games have all been against the designated losers. I'm looking forward to my first test in the upcoming series vs the Hard Cider.

The Redbirds and Hard Cider have reached agreement on a deal. Veteran Warren Spahn (7M), will go to Hard Cider, along with Roy Sievers (1M). Gold glove 1st baseman Bill White (6M), and right hander Bob Purkey(2M) will join the Redbirds. Scott, if you would confirm.

I still have a couple of solid starters on the block, namely Juan Pizzarro and Richie Ashburn. Both could contribute to a contender, and Pizzarro would be a #2 for a lot of teams.
Geez, maybe Mantle getting 3 HR in OOTP isn't so far off with these players!!McCovey 439/489/1.049, 41, 8 Hr 15 RBI
I have a question, Mark. I know it's possible to have a lower slugging % than OBP, but I didn't think it was possible to have a lower slugging % than BA. Any idea how that could happen?Post 286/333/273, 14

--Probably couldn't. I'm not sure where the 273 came from. Post is actually slugging .500.
PAP, the fans werem't happy that you let Spahnie go, but trading for Purkey helped some. It was kind of a wash for Mac. The fans were happy he picked up Spahn and Sievers, but not real happy to see Purkey go. No mention of poor Bill White, who seems to have become a real travelling man.
PAP, I updated your roster and lineups. Mac, I updated your roster, but you haven't updated your lineups yet.

I ran another week, this time a full week, with OOTP. Linescores are posted below. I'll ask again, do you want me to post these, or just let you know when they are uploaded? I strongly encourage everyone to go to the website and check out all the stats: league leaders, team batting & pitching, etc.
Injuries: Pancho Herrera, Phils - sprained ankle, day to day.
Jim Kaat, Dude's Gamblers - Inflamed elbow, day to day.
Players of the week: First week (short 4 day one) - George Altman, Quakers. He batted .556 in 18 AB, with 1 HR and 6 RBI
Most recent week: Don Hoak, Diablos. He batted .500 in 30 AB, with 1 HR and 9 RBI
Frank Robinson (Hard Cider) hit for the cycle against the Cannons:

538280 CANNONS - Mac's Hard Cider's rightfielder Frank Robinson once again displayed his tremendous ability to make contact with that little white ball. He tore up 538280 Cannons' pitching staff with a 4 hit performance on Friday. A single in the 1st off Mudcat Grant accounted for his 1st hit. A pitch from Dick Lemay in the 2nd inning left his bat for a RBI triple. His 3rd hit, off Dick Lemay in the 5th inning, was a two-run homerun and cleared the fence in center field. A pitch from Tom Brewer in the 7th inning left his bat for a two-run double. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Frank did drive in 5 while scoring 4 runs on his own. He now has a total of 14 hits this season, accounting for a .318 batting average. 1 players in league history have so far hit for the cycle, including Frank.
To see any team's batter/pitcher stats, click on the team name, then choose Batting STats or Pitching Stats in the team Reports & News section.
I hope everyone takes advantage of the opportunity to chcek out their batters and pitchers stats. If you would prefer, I could copy and paste them all here, but that seems rather redundant to me, since we all haave internet access to the league website and all the reports.
Any questions, comments or concerns - fire away!

I don't think you need to post all the results, since we can just go to your site and see them there (which I am doing). Please post all the interesting highlights you run across though.I'll ask again, do you want me to post these, or just let you know when they are uploaded?
Site is fine with me as well...I like the functionality there too.

--JW, in your lineup vs RHP I had Allison in the lineup, but neglected to assign him to a position. I'm guessing the CM substituted freely in that situation. Fixed now.
--Game results and standings updated through 21 April. The only new injury was Moose Skowron, 12/11. A real stroke of bad luck for the Gamblers who already had starting 1B Harmon Killebrew sidelined.

I love injuries.
Move Skowron to the 15 Day DL.
Malzone will come up from the minors to fill his role as backup, or starter until Killebrew gets back, then backup for the few days until Skowron comes off the 15 day.

Unbelievable. I know it's very few innings, but this guy was horrible (in 1961) in real life, and is doing very well for me in BOTH replays. Hope he keeps it up. I've seen stranger things happen in these replays.regan 1.50, 0-1-1, 6
