    Who is one player you...

Who is one player you think will have an all start year that was not an all star last season.

My prediction David Wright. HE probably should have made it last season. He's a stud in the making. 23 years old, 27 homeruns, 102 or so rbi's, 99 runs, almost 400 obp, 17 stolen bases, 170 hits and played 160 games. Not to mention some great plays in the field. Oh yea, he only made 322k last season! Mets are robbing him! I bet he gets a nice 6 year deal worth about 55 million, unless they dont resign him till after next season. Then it could be more after another great season.

I grew up near him so I've been following him a lot. He's a nice guy too.

Is this thread for young players like the Mets' David Wright, or vets like Derek Jeter, who was mentioned here?

I should have been more specific, I'm sorry. I kind of want to hear names of players who many people do not know about. A player like Barry Bonds Jeter is very common name in sports. But David Wright or Mike Lowell, many fans still aren't aware of. So what players do you think will become stars, should I say. Guys who will finally be recognized this year for there great talent.

Thats why I chose David Wright. Many people do not know who he is yet he's putting up star numbers.

    Chris Capuano.

18-12 this year for the brewers, with a 106 ERA+, which should improve again.

Carlos Zambrano, and maybe Ryan Dempster.
A lot of people say this honor validates my career, but I didn't work hard for validation. I didn't play the game right because I saw a reward at the end of the tunnel. I played it right because that's what you're supposed to do, play it right and with respect. If this validates anything, it's that learning how to bunt and hit and run and turning two is more important than knowing where to find the little red light at the dug out camera. - Ryne Sandberg

Wright hasa chance to be special. I think he ca nbe better than scott Rolen at least. How much better is speculation.

I really like David Wright also, but lets not forget Todd Zeile's start of his career, everyone thought he was going to be legend.

Hanley Ramirez going to be an all-star in his rookie season? Guh?

I'm jumping on the bandwagon and go with David Wright, too.

D-Wright all the way!!! I dont believe Aramis Ramirez/Scott Rolen will make it over him next season.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say White Sox 3B Joe Crede.

I think he puts it all together this year.

Maybe I'm biased but I think Chase Utley will be in 06 All Star Game.

Looks like he's the real deal and will own the starting spot in the All Star Game for many years.

Ryan Howard. Not unknown, maybe. But he looks like he's channeling Dave "The Cobra" Parker.

May be Pedro Feliz' breakout year on the Giants now that they've traded Edgardo Alfonzo and given him the third base job for good.
