    Good enough to be an MVP but not an All-star

    Name the players who did not make the all star the year they were named MVP.
    And since some of these players are multiple MVPs please give the year.

    Willie Stargell 1979 NL
    Robin Yount 1989 AL
    Chipper Jones 1999 NL
    Kirk Gibson 1988 NL

    I believe K.Gibson is the only MVP winner to NEVER be an All Star in any year.
