    The Iron Man's Tombstone

Some descendants of Joe "Iron Man" McGinnity are going to re-dedicate and upgrade his gravemarker in May. McGinnity is buried in McAlester Oklahome. here is a link so you can see what the new gravemarker will look like. Distinctive to say the least.

That's cool. It's nice to see a hall of famer taken care of. He's not normally brought up as an all-time great, but man, he was good. 246 wins in ten years, 121 ERA+ led in batter faced 5 times, games 6 times, innings 4 times. He truly was an "Iron Man" and I tip my cap to him.

A major ceremony is in the works to honor hall of farmer Joe McGinnity on May 9, 2006 at his gravesite in McAlester, Oklahoma.

Farmers have a Hall of Fame?
