i think Biggio is also the active leader in hits now. I guess bonds would be on that list too, who else?

From 2003-05, Bidge had 500 hits even, 53% at home and 47% on the road. With a 34 home/27 road game split so far this year, about 67% of his hits have come in Houston. Bidge didn't start in eight of the 27 road games so far this year, so in terms of playing time, he's on about the same hits-at-home/road split that he was from 2003-05.Originally Posted by john1972

This may have been covered already, but what are his chances at making it this year? Even remotely possible, or not?

Unfortunately, not really. He's on pace to finish this season with 170 hits, which would put him at 2965. He would need to finish with 205 hits to reach 3,000 this year, and he's only reached the 200-hit mark in a season one time in his career (1998).Originally Posted by Sweet Lou

Yeah he's 2 for 6 now, with a couple of cheap singles, and 3 k's. 10 more k's and he'll reach 1600 for his career. Another milestone.Originally Posted by geezer
