Its been announced by Kay on 1050ESPN radio that Dotel will be meeting with Dr Andrews tomorow. This doesn't look good for the bullpen. I do hope that nothing is seriously wrong.

Meeting with Dr. Andrews is never a good sign. But then again, Andrews was probably the surgeon who performed the Tommy John surgery on Dotel, so in that sense it would make sense to visit him if there is a complication.
Dotel was scheduled to be back by next week.
I hope this is just a checkup!
"After my fourth season I asked for $43,000 and General Manager Ed Barrow told me, 'Young man, do you realize Lou Gehrig, a 16-year-man, is playing for only $44,000?' I said, Mr. Barrow, there is only one answer to that - Mr. Gehrig is terribly underpaid."- Yankees outfielder Joe DiMaggio
TJ surgery is never good news, but I think that Mariano had this once, and Boomer had this, then pitched a Perfecto in 1998.
I think that Jon Leiber was our last TJ surgery patient. He proved useful in his 2nd year.
From what I'm hearing about Dotel, someone felt it was tendinitis in his elbow, and Dr Andrews was called in to give some opinion as to the health of his throwing right elbow, I believe it would be.
I'll have to scour the news dailies for further info. Anyone beat me to it, please post if it's reliable.![]()

Well slightly good news. It appears that Dotel's visit is only for Andrews to check on tendonitis in his elbow which Andrews calls "a nomal part of the rehab." So it appears Dotel is okay for now anyway.
He's going to not come back this year, sign with the Red Sox for like 8 dollars and win the Cy Young going 35-0 with an ERA of 0.00
