INJURIES: Dotel and Pavano?

Does anyone have any updates on those 2? We could really use Dotel, since Farnsworthless has been, well, worthless. The last I heard about him was that he was recovering from some tendonitis and was going to be pitching on flat ground to see how it felt.

As for Pavano, I haven't heard anything in a while. I would love to see him come back and have Chacon or Wright (mr. 5-inning burnout) rotate to the bullpen. I know we can't exactly rely on Pavano to be an ace, but if he could just eat up some innings and maintain a sub-5.00 ERA I'd be happy.

I don't know about Pavano. Quite possible that the next time he farts he pulls a sphincter muscle and misses another 6 weeks. Dotel supposedly just saw his dr. just as a follow-up and should be back soon.

Just to make sure reliever Octavio Dotel's elbow tendinitis isn't anything more serious, the right-hander will visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., today. Andrews performed reconstructive Tommy John surgery on Dotel a year ago this month.

"We'll see what Dr. Andrews says," manager Joe Torre said. "We're not thinking it's anything" that will significantly set back Dotel's rehab. However, Dotel's return probably won't be until July, perhaps after the All-Star break.
