Meet the mets the official song of the new york mets was introduced to the public on saturday march 9 1963. The music and lyrics for the song was written by Ruth Roberts and Bill Katz.the original arrangement of meet the mets was done by Glenn Osser and was recorded by his orchestra and chorus.the 45 record could be got at the polo grounds souvineer stands or ordered by mail

    MET OFFICIAL SONG
    POLO GROUNDS
    NEW YORK 39 NEW YORK

The song was played at the polo grounds and was also played before every 1963 new york mets game on the radio.on the dust jacket of the record you can see Mr Met the official mascot of the new york mets who also debuted during that last 1963 season at the historic polo grounds.
on the bottom of the dust jacket it says SOUVINEER OF THE POLO GROUNDS just like on the 1963 new york mets yearbook.
