    The best in my book...
"Herman Franks to Sal Yvars to Bobby Thomson. Ralph Branca to Bobby Thomson to Helen Rita... cue Russ Hodges."

I rewatched that movie recently and I forgot how good that movie was. How times have changed after watching it too. I doubt you will ever see a movie made like that anymore.

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

    Agreed.

"Booger eating spaz" is offensive dialogue.

I think "Bang The Drum Slowly" is superior to anything in the list.

I picked 61* but most on the list were fantastic. The Sandlot ending with Benny the Jet stealing home, and Smalls calling the game was classic.

I've probably seen Field Of Dreams forty to fifty times and also visited the sight. Bad News Bears was great. Wouldn't fit in the last 40 year category but the film Rhubarb is another I've always enjoyed watching.

I enjoyed the Film "Chasing 3,000". After watching it, I found screenplay writer Bill Mikita on Facebook and sent him a note about how much I enjoyed it. If you're a Pirates fan, it's a must-watch. This Cardinals fan enjoyed it immensely, too.
