    Francona Chew

    What does Terry Francona chew?

    Please say it's not tobaccy.

I don't know... don't think I want to know. I seem to recall that he's quit 'baccy, so it could be a mix of seeds and gum.

My brother says he's washing his socks in there... ewwwww.

Not enough spit for tobaccy, too much for gum.... Maybe Annie is right a hybrid chew.

I'm going with a portion of a Red Man Totem (chewers out there know what that is) wrapped in several pieces of gum.
Ahhhh, brings back fond memories of sitting in the bullpen between starts in college, charting pitches and chasing foul balls . . . those were the days.
On second thought, thank goodness that I quit chewing! Kids, don't start - it is very difficult to quit!

I never had any problem in quitting the chew. I tried it at age 7 and quit it the next day. When you are sick as a dog you can give up anything.

I was 9 when I had awad of wintergreen tobacco wrapped up in some big league chew. I swallowed the whole dam thing sliding head first into second and vomited in foul territory when I was on third. So my advise for quiting would be similar to KC's. Swallow it and you never do it again.
