Trying to think realistically about which free agent available to us in the off-season would really help bring out the best in our young players (not talking pitchers here), the name Jim Edmonds keeps turning up in my head.
Is it because he reminds me so much of Andy Van Slyke? Coming to us from the Cardinals and all? Edmonds' best day are behind him to be sure, but I could see him really helping out in right field . . . and on the bench and in the locker room.
Thoughts?
