    How would you argue calls?

I may be in the minority, but I'm not one for confrontation. If I get called out, I suspect no matter what, I'm giong to do nothing more than jog back to the dugout - but a moment later I might think "hey, I was safe, I thought." Just one of those things where my reaction time isn't that great. (Which would, of course, also keep me from ever being a ballplayer.)

But, of course, if a team needed someone to look like they were arguing, to fire them up, I can just see myself going out there and letting the ump have it, but not about the game. I would go out there shouting things like, "The air we are breathing is composed of over 70% nitrogen; why are we so focused on oxygen!" "Elephants weigh over 9000 pounds!" Inane things like that; hey, the other ballplayers couldn't hear what I was saying, anyway, unless it was right near our dugout.

Seriouisly, are you an umpire baiter? A guy who discusses things calmly with the ump like I would? A ham (flailing arms, etc.) A hothead? (a.k.a. tantrum city) Or what?

You gotta respect the umpires, they have a heck of a tough job. Arguing is pointless and getting thrown out of the game is embarrassing on the news, (let alone spitting at or throwing a bat at the umpire), plus what's he going to do, change his mind and apologize? That's about as likely as George Steinbrenner not being a jerk.

One time in little league, the umpire was calling an unfair strike zone so my coach confronted him about it. Between innings he walked over to our dugout to explain to our coach how his strike zone wasn't favoring the other team. As he was walking away I said, "how would you like to lose some teeth?" He didn't respond in any way but my coach did yell at me.

Ten years later I've only gotten worse.
    Still lurks the BBF.
