Are you kidding me? Know your history. Unbelievable the amount of ignorance you displayed.I'm sorry but I can't sit back after seeing that without responding.
Carry on about NYS.

RYS to NYS: "Obi-Lonn never told you what happened to your father."
NYS: "He told me enough. He told me you killed him - in the 1970s!!"
RYS: "No, I am your father..."
NYS: "No, it's not true, that's impossible!!!!"
RYS: "Look beyond my respirator pods and my upper crown; you know it to be true!
Hopefully never, unless it's a digital clock
and is that padding on the outfield wall, or are they painting the wall black?
I've seen the pics with the padding behind home plate, but I don't think I've seen any pics with padding on the wall.
if it is the padding, why is it so dark?
Whoops, my bad, here it is:

hahahah! separated at birth?
Whats wrong with an analog clock? I much prefer them to digital, they're much classier and look nicer. I wouldn't be caught dead with a digital watch, makes you look like you're either stuck in the 80's or a 5 year old. People should know how to tell time the old fashioned way.
and yes, that is padding, it's just dark because the sun is setting in that picture.
Agreed. Most people can - and should - be able to tell the difference between say ten-AM and eleven-AM on an analog clock with perhaps just the 12, 3, 6, and 9 marked with hatches. Or one and two PM for that matter. But, this is the land of the free and home of the brave, not the land of the smart or home of the brain!![]()

Assuming that the above post is true, and BofA is the sponsor, i have updated the photoshop....
Attack of the 40 foot tall players!!!
For me, this by far still is the best picture I've ever seen so far of NYS, and it is the most majestic looking ballpark in baseball and probably sports.

Hey guys. I'm new here.
I've read almost the entire thread about NYS and the one about the frieze, and I've come to the conclusion that sometimes people get way too close to something and lose sight of the forest, for the trees.
I've seen a lot of nit-picking, and I appreciate its purpose. Even its usefulness. But at the end of the day, the Yankees set out not to create a replica of OYS, but a new interpretation that honors the history and development of its predecessor(s).
I applied a few photoshop filters to someone's wonderful, recently posted photograph.
I don't care that the original stadium didn't have a limestone facade. This is better.
This is one stunning stadium.

It seems as though there is something lit up there in blue. What is that?

I think they did a great job -- yes we have found some things that are head scratchers, but it does a great job of mixing old and new into something that honors both. I have a feeling that inside, people will feel like they've somehow been there before, and at the end of the day, that's a good thing.
