Check out this team working out in a cold barn. A little on the rustic side. Whatever it takes I guess.

Here is a directory for everything baseball on Long Island from Little Leagues, travel leagues, travel teams, training facilities, and more.

    Long Island Baseball Directory

FYI - This is a free directory that I have recently started to promote baseball on Long Island. If you know of any Long Island Baseball related sites that I should list, please drop me a line and let me know about them.

Help starting a Little League affiliate

Has anyone actually started a Little League affiliate?

I grew up playing Little League in Florida but in our town (Burlington, NC) your options are City League, County League or Travel Ball.

Travel Ball is competitive but the City and County leagues are not drafted and have a wide disparity between the top and bottom teams.

I coach two different teams in different age groups and have been on each end of the spectrum.

What is your opinion of Little League?

What is your opinion of drafted vs. un-drafted leagues?

By the way, our County league is made up from different municipalities and some are drafted while most are not. In nearly every case, the un-drafted teams do better.
