    59 PLAYERS filed for free-agency.

    Let it begin!

    Barry Zito, Alfonso Soriano, Frank Thomas, Nomar Garciapparra, Andy Pettitte, Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds most notably.

    Man the Nats should have dealt Sori when they had the chance!

    I don't see why Cliff Floyd filed, I mean who wants an aging LF with injury problems and below average defense. Soriano I am predicting will be resigned, I mean the Nats have to resign him after getting nothing for him and not making the playoffs. Zito will end up in New York, dunno if it'll be the Bronx or Queens. Pettitte and Wood are interesting FAs, one's always hurt and the other's old and comming off an abysmal season. Dunno where Bonds will end up.

    Soriano will not be playing in D.C. next season, Bonds will be, well, who cares, Zito...NY, Pettite: Yankees, other than that no idea, I bet the free agent market is very high on Mike Leiberthal

    He turned down what? 70 million dollars or something like that from the Nats.... I just dont see him in Washington next year. Not with the money the mets will probably throw at him. But we shall see.

    He'll be like Frank Thomas last year. He could sign with an AL team and be a good DH. Cliff has said that he wants to do just what Frank did and sign a 1-year deal for under a million to prove that he can still play.

    So when you get too old and fat to play regular ball you become an overpaid DH so the pitcher doesn't have to be a full part of the team - yes to NL and boo to the DH!!

    Frank Thomas wasnt overpaid last year, he signed a 500K contract, if I remember correctly.

    When you become too old and fat to play youre signed by the Mets...cough...cough...Mo Vaughn.

    Go here and justify the POOR POOR hitting by NL pitchers and then tell me that the pitcher is a full part of the team. A mere 81 AB? A mere .111 AVG? Boo to non-hitting pitchers.
