I believe the Fresno Grizzlies (Triple-A PCL) have a new logo. I like the old look better, either way they still stink HAHA.

I really like that new logo that the Birmingham Barons have. Very classy and nostalgic. I'm jealous!

I guess we should bring this thread back for new logos coming out this year. Here's the first changed one I've seen, not counting the teams that moved.

Of course, the background of the new Bisons logo is a reference to their new parent club.

The Salem, Virginia team has not moved, but they have changed affiliations to become a Red Sox team--the purpose for which the Red Sox bought them a year ago.

Obviously there's a certain lack of originality any time a farm team bears the same name as the parent team, although there is a touch of history in this case because the Red Sox had farm teams in the Roanoke Valley ("Ro-Sox") in times gone by.

And I like the mountain background here. If you go to Salem, sit on the third base side and look beyond the scoreboard, that's what you'll see. It's sort of the reverse of the Bisons logo where the local emblem is the foreground.

Well my favorite minor league team was the Los Angeles Angels of the PCL back in '57. But here in Reno we are going to have the Reno ACES the AAA affilate of the Arizona DBacks.The will be managed by former major league outfielder Brett Butler. Opening day is April 17th. By the way this team can trace it's history back to the old SF SEALS of the PCL.I am trying to copy a logo without any success.

I got off of the baseball wiki I work on http://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/Reno_Aces I think I orginally got off either the team website or just a google image search. As for an Avatar I'm not sure, the Yankees one I use was one of the preloaded ones on the site when I joined.

Probably because most of them sorta are kids. I actually think that my League's Tee ball and Machine pitch levels have started using the Minor league team names

I know that this comment was forever ago but it is relevant to my comment. Io love all the cartoony/regionally specific logos and team names in the minor leagues, I think it adds to the more family friendly and party like atmosphere at some of the best minor league ballparks I have seen games in. To that end, I like the new logo unveiled this year for the San Diego Padres A-Ball affiliate in Ft. Wayne Indiana (formerly the Wizards), though it seems to be catching hell from most locals.
