--We probably only need to sign one more pitcher at this point. We can till afford even a super expensive Schmidt without salary dumping Sexson. I'd be okay with dealing him, but only if we get value in return. Broussard/platoon PTNL or Ibanez could play first if Rickey was dealt. It seems more likely that Broussard gets moved to ease payroll.
Did anything ever happen with the luis gonzales thing?

nevermind...forgot about the dodgers signing him.

I'm all for trading sexson though.

Whatevs. I have a simple policy for any trading, whether it's baseball players, trading cards, etc... anything is up for trades, as long as I get a good enough deal. People say that they won't trade certain players, and while you don't want the person to be upset because it seems like you want to get rid of them, you should still take any deal where you come out ahead.
I dould rathere see Sexson stay, unless by moving sexson it improves them. I doubt sexson is going anywwhere though.
Here's to baseball... The best sport made.

I would like to trade him for a young solid pitcher that is already established.

I would sooner trade Sexson than Beltre. I know Sexson drove in the runs, but Beltre has more upward potential, along with a better glove at 3rd. Put Broussard in for Sexson, lose 15 HR, but picking up a starter and a mid-level reliever would be a good trade.
I know one thing, Jeff Weaver is not going to be the answer. Neither are the other guys we picked up -- When I saw our trades, I thought of the impact when we signed Omar Olivares... Nothing.

I agree Doug. I keep a solid 3Bman over a solid 1Bman anyday. 3Bman can play 1st if needed...I can't say the same for the opposite. lol.
