    Florida Marlins Team Roster

    -------Dec. 8 2007-------Marlins Re-Signing Period Completed!
After a tough resigning period, the Marlins would like to announce the following deals that they have come to terms with.

Borowski is tacked at 5.1 million for a year, despite only pitchingi 25 innings due lack of faith the owner had in his control, had a solid 2.52 ERA in the big leagues. We look for him to be a key spot in the bullpen next season.

Brandon Backe was signed at 21m/3 years where he has been working very hard at AAA and the owners have seen an enourmous improvemnt, paticuraly in his fastball velocity and his additional movemnt on his curveball.
He is looking to be slated at 3/4 in the rotation.

Jim Edmonds, who hit 33 homeruns with the Marlins last year and playing a solid CF and batting cleanup was signed for 14m/2 years and a team option of 10m for a third year. Jim Edmonds will once again be manning CF at the start of the season.

Tim Spooneybarger, who was rather dissapointing as a closer in 2007, will accept a 5m/2years offer and will probably be a middle reliever as the season starts.

Dontrelle Willis, 24, the highlight of the season and the league leader in ERA, accepted a 119m/7 and the Owner is estatic about the deal.

Miguel Cabrera accepts a 51m/3 years deal, where the second part of the deal makes 60m/3 if he does not opt out.

    Lineup changes/notes

4/15 Dan Uggla moved to leadoff role, with Young in the 2 spot. Hanley was sent to 8th to let pitchers bunt him to 2nd. Hopefully he regains his stroke.
