    2007

Are the Royals going to be competitive this year? How has your offseason been going? I know you nabbed Meche from us, I didn't want that to happen! ( )

Not really. I think that Shealy, Teahan, Dejesus, and Gordon will be good. Gathright, Greinke, and Dotel could be nice surprises...but their starting pitching will not be good on a whole.

Agreed with Moe. I think Billy Butler will also debut this year.

Hochevar, Butler and Gordon should all debut this year I'm guessing. PLus, they will have another high draft pick. Don't know how this years class is going to look though.

I dont think the royals are going to be competitive this year though. They play in the hardest division, and they do not have the starting pitching. They could easily become like late season spoilers though, IDK, and I bet guys like Butler, Gordon and Shealy will really turn some heads

I think they will finish a little under .500 but they will be more competitive.

Gathwright wont be a surprise he cant hit the ball but he will be a good pinch runner or someone to bunt with.

Being a Sox fan I really cant talk crap about the royals because as most of you know we get our asses handed to us when we play them. I do not believe the Royals will finish above .500. They need alot of work. I give them a few more years.

Watch the lanaguage there, Chi-Town. Anyway, I think Kansas City might come away with more victories this year. That's not to say they'll sniff third place but I believe they are going to improve as their young guys get more and more experienced.

I'm fine with the word "crap", but it is a rule here in BBF that swearing isn't allowed. You can contact Sean the webmaster if you don't believe me. Please calm down.

The Royals will be better off when they trade Reggie Sanders and open up a spot for Teahen to move to, so Alex Gordon can come in and start at 3rd. Emil Brown could get some decent prospects back in the right deal.

The main thing is getting some decent pitching in the rotation. One that happens they can start actually competing. Greinke, Meche, Bannister, and Elarton (when healthy) can provide some of that.
