My post count has been lost.
It says I have only 1 post, when it should be close to 2000 . . .
Has anyone else's post count been lost or corrupted lately?![]()

your post count has been 2 as long as I remember
LETS GO YANKEES!
It's strange, Ken -- it says that you have 3 posts, but a quick search showed over 500, dating back to 2004. Your posts haven't been erased... just the count.![]()
I looked in the archives, dating back to '02, and your posts are there. It is a mystery, for sure.

There's no way I've got almost 4,000 posts. That's insane.
Oh, you meant LOST their post count. Never mind.

Ken, you've got between 1,800 and 2,000 posts, right?
Oh, and could you please try replying w/o adding any colors and/or bold?
Thx.![]()

I've lost a few to my post count, but I was bound to lose two posts anyway because they were in the between innings forum. I had lost five posts to my number, it would be nice to bump it up by 3. Other than that, I'm fine.

I noticed last week that my post count, which was around 3500, is now about 2500. It doesn't bother me, but it's a little strange.
stick with the color...I like it, individuality....God help us if we put something other than the bland default script.

Yeah. I was pretty close to 4000, now I am back with about hundred. I guess they have deleted some threads again.Originally Posted by tearforamariner
I've seen forums where some threads/forums are "members-only" and do not count in a member's post count. A lot of Ken's posts are in the Bitter Rivals thread... maybe Sean decided to have that not count towards post counts? Or maybe they deleted a whole bunch of old threads? I don't know.

My actual post count should be somewhere around fifteen thousand. Keeps going down for some reason.

I've just confirmed that post counts do go up when you post into the Bitter Rivalry thread. I've never known of a portion of BBF where post counts don't increase with each new post and decrease with each post's removal.Originally Posted by Erik Bedard

You could just delete all post counts and it wouldn't bother me. What's all the fuss? Is there a prize?
I was looking at "The Bitter Rivals Thread" and happen to notice KenFougere's post count was at 16, surely he has posted more than 16 posts since 2000, I havent checked, but I am willing to bet he has more than 16. lol. He prolly has 500 in Bitter Rivals alone. And it aint a one time thing like with the green light, checked out on my school PC and mine. Werid aint it?

Just a note to all the active members of BBF, I consider all of you the smartest baseball people I have ever communicated with and love everyday I am on here. Thank you all!
Exactly. I'd be happy to not have the post count shown...that way people might concentrate more on quality of posts rather than quantity.Originally Posted by bkmckenna
On some boards I've visited, some privileges are granted when certain post counts are reached. I don't know if vB boards have this feature, but perhaps that's one reason for the tallies.

Excellent point. ...although there are times when a newbie comes to infiltrate the board with pajorative posts, thus seeing post counts helps to keep an eye out for those. Just thinking.Originally Posted by brewcrew82

Exactly. Recently, a banned member tried to impersonate another member, mimicking their avatar, user title, signature, location.... everything but the post count, and added one letter in the middle of the username. Luckily, a mod spotted the post count, and banned the member. Again. Perhaps a "post range" would be better.Originally Posted by milladrive
