Anyone any predictions for the first game?

I can't wait! Chris Carpenter is probably going to be a tough hit for a few of our players bu watch out carpenter. Delgado, Wright, and Beltran are coming ready to go deep! Glavine is gonna rock the world today.

Without Weaver & Suppan that Cardinals pitching staff will be not as difficult to beat. Sure Weaver's regular season record was bad last year but he was good in post season play. And Suppan... I never liked him anyways. Ever since he hit a homer in the NLCS and what's up with him winking when he gets to bat?

5-0 thus far in the 6th. Skip Shumacher just pinch hit for Carpenter. And got himself a single. Let's "put it in the books!"
IMO Glavine has pitched very well so far.

Spectacular defensive game thus far by the Metropolitans.

We are in the 9th, and David Newhan just got a pinch hit single.
Mets still lead 5-1.

Outside of some drama from the relief corps what's not to like? Everyone had a hit and they were throwing some crazy leather out there.

Well, Billy Wagner had a typical Billy Wagner game. That's still drama? Plus there's Feliciano, who did well. And Heilman threw a grand total of one pitch. But seeing Joe Smith debut and first give up a hit to Eckstein and then strike out Preston Wilson was awesome. Now that he got that one out, hopefully he'll get a lot more. The ice is broken for Joe Smith, IMO, and we'll see a lot morre of him. The Mets fielding was a nice surprise. I liked Alou's catch for total unexpectedness (I would never in a million years have guessed he could make that play without straining his ribcage!) and Beltran's throw home. Valentin and Reyes looked great in the field, too. More games like these!!!
