As a Tiger fan which every day player do you HATE???

Ok, you can see the question. Now before you answer lemme clarify. I am not speaking of any of the off the field issues that a player may of had. I am solely accounting for their on the field preformance, in specific against the Tigers. Mostly the guy you've watched bite the Tigers again and again over their careers.

For the longest time for me it was Carlos Beltran. Back when the Tigers and the Royals were locked in those year in and year out battles for the 2nd to last place in the division. It always seemed that Beltran was killing the Tigers on both sides of the field. I personally think Beltran owes Carlos Pena at least 3 points of BA. I can recall at least a 1/2 dozen doubles robbed by Beltran from Pena. So much so I think Pena should of filled charges.

Right now for me, it is Joe Crede. I hate that guy.....even the other day it seemed like he was up to his old tricks (2 run HR in the 8th)...thank goodness Marcus Thames had something to say about it.

Now who is it for you? Without crazy circumstances, I would have to think it would have to be an everyday player in the central division.

I hate Grady Sizemore. He looks like he hasn't hit puberty yet.

The Royals' Mike Sweeney. Not sure if he still plays everyday (maybe a full-time DH by now?), but I can't stand that guy. Specifically, I remember him and another Royal holding down little Robert Fick at home plate and pummelling the crap out of him during a brawl. As if Sweeney needed help against the monsterous Fick, lol. I thought that was pretty weak, and I have no respect for him whatsoever. I actually hope the guy gets plunked every time he takes the batter's box against our boys. I think that was the brawl that Weaver started, but I could be wrong.

I remember that brawl too. I think it was the one where Farnsworth sort of body slammed a pitcher on the Royals, I think it was Jeremy Affeldt.

I can't name a single player who I can't stand, but I can name a team. I can't stand the Twins!! They never seem to go away. Even last year when they were just playing horribly before the all star break, then came out of nowhere and still won the division. They have owned us when playing each other over the past couple of years. Why can't they just have a bad streak like we did for a long time?

I'm sad to report that two of the players who I've always hated throughout their careers are Gary Sheffieldand Kenny Rogers.

Jose Contreras. Up until the Tigers knocked him out of the box the other day, his ERA vs. Detroit had to be sub-3.50. He's made more starts against Detroit than any other team, and has an 8-4 record against the Tigers. His only career shutout is against Detroit and his K/9 ratio against us is insane. And even with pounding him, we've only hit .224 against the guy!

EDIT: WHOOPS! This thread's for every day players! In that case, I'd say Paul Konerko, who has done some serious damage against the Tigers.

I've never been a Pierzinski fan, but mostly because the guy gets far more attention than some of his better teammates. Not Tiger opponents regularly, but it's the same with David Eckstein and Adam Everett. Do we really need to keep seeing them in the dugout when the action is on the field?

Because the question was asking about on the field preformance specifically against the Tigers...I am not even sure if Barry has played against the Tigers this century.

I think he has for maybe one series. It's not like Barry is the only player under the suspicion of PEDS, or even one of the ones who have been caught. But why target logically? As for the living in the ghetto comment, I'd say it was regrettable.

Hmmmm...I know for certain that in 2005 the Giants came to town for a 3 game series and Barry was out with injury....I had tickets to one of those games. Anyway, I doubt he's been a thorn in the side of the Tigers.

Mine two would be Youkillis and Sizemore.

Sizemore b/c he makes great plays in the outfield and does pretty well with the stick.

Youkillis b/c he hits good against us. Plus, I hate his batting stance.
