    108 magazine

Just wondering if anyone has seen this yet. I just saw it at the grocery store (of all places, a cover with Koufax and Mantle gets my attention wherever I am). Not at all a usual baseball magazine. Looks like it comes out quarterly, and is more catered to the literary or anecdotal side of the game. I really, really reccommend this one.

Ya, I picked this up about a month ago. Never even thought about posting about it... I absolutely love it. It's finals time, so I've only read a few articles, but I carry it with me everywhere and sqeeze in a sentence when I can. My dad called it a 'history and culture magazine that happens to focus on baseball of all things...' I recconmmend it too, it is a great read.

I just saw this magazine at Barnes and Noble over the weekend. The editors are mostly SABR guys. It looks like a great historical magazine. I'm definitely going to pick it up.

    Why is it called "108"?

Is it modern analysis applied to bb history, similar to what we do around here? Sounds good, gonna look for it.
    Thanks for listening!

Wow, when the title of a pub refers to trivia of that sort, it gives you an idea that the content is probably no-nonsense, as well. (At least, to me, the 108 reference is somewhat exotic, since I don't track equipment/uniform-type history and trends. It's a whole 'nother area.)

But this is the kinda pub I can learn from.
    Thanks for listening!

after reading this thread i picked up a copy last week, after a quick look through i quickly subscribed, this is a quality magazine and a welcome addition to the baseball scene. I had a question and emailed them from their website, had an answer the next day, gotta love good customer service. If you missed it the first issue is available through them for $8
