    Albert Leitz??

    Does anyone have any information or knowledge on this past minor league manager?

    So far, all I know is that he was the Waycross Bears, Georgia's minor league team back in the 1930-1960s.

    We have old memorabilia, and would like to know more about the guy who it was signed by!

    Anything would help.

    He managed the Waycross Bears of the George-Florida League from 1939 to 1942.

    Al Leitz

    Leitz played for twelve seasons, mostly in the southeast. He reached AAA in 1935 with Minneapolis and his best season was with Waycross in 1941 when he went .315 4-98.
