What would other all-time greats' careers looked like...
I'm not a whiz at crunching stats like many of my fellow Baseball Fever-ites, but I've been wondering lately...
I was thinking about the incredible (and dubious) spike in performance Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens have experienced since their 35th birthdays, and I got to wondering:
What would other all-time greats' stats look like if they experienced the off-the-charts increases in performance Bonds and Clemens had after turning 35?
In other words: If Walter Johnson, or Babe Ruth, or Tyrus Cobb had taken steroids and increased their performance after age 35 to the extent Bonds and Clemens did, how would their records look?
Would Ruth have hit 900 homers? Would Cy Young have notched 700 wins?
"Hey Mr. McGraw! Can I pitch to-day?"
