The Gold Sox claim Jerry Buchek.

Provided this goes through, I will now be at 47.5M for 33 players.

OK, I edited my roster/salary to reflect Buchek's being claimed off of waivers.

And FYI, Dan, Buchek is in the second year of a 3 year free agent contract that pays 1.5 million per year. He'll become a free agent at the end of the 1967 season.

You see, you spend a good deal of your life gripping a baseball and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. J. Bouton

No, you are right. In all of my copying/pasting, things got shuffled around, give me a second and I'll have the correct nubmers up.

--Still need roster/salary data from the Stingers, Diablos, Cannons and Gamblers and the corrected number for the Pirates. This must be posted before a bid can be accepted from your team.

The Stingers are at 31 players with a salary of 75.75 million. Hmm, I didn't think the cash bug would catch up so fast. Anyway, I have a question. What is the buyout rate at again? Half of what they would have made if they still played?

--Half of the remaining value of their contract. Buyouts had to be exercised by the end of the non-tender period though. If you release someone now you take the full contract value as a cap hit.

Well, I already released Jack Cullen who was due to get 5M this year. So I guess my final team payroll is 78.25 million for 31 players.

Could be. I've got a bit of room under the cap.

Mark, I presume you're using BBF time again, as per usual. Which means we're about 14 minutes off from my watch!
