This is not really a trivia question but in the playoffs has any starting pitcher recorded an ERA as high as Bret Saberhagen in the 1999 LDS. In two games (both starts) Saberhagen compiled an ERA of 27.00. He also had a WHIP of 4.062. Granted he only threw 3.2 innings (2.2 in Game 2 of the series and then 1 in game 5) but these are awful numbers. He also was not pulled because of an injury in either game. These numbers, especially the ERA, have surely been matched by a reliever but Saberhagen got the ball to start both games.
