Maybe he likes it here. As mentioned in the NY Daily News, his wife reads as he turns the pages, inside the famous FAO Schwarz toy store at 59th & Fifth Ave in Manhattan, just a block from Central Park South:

It's also good to see that he and his wife are together after that stripper incident earlier this year. How could have even thought of cheating on her? She's gorgeous!
Anyhow, I don't think a required PR appearance is an indication of whether or not he's happy in NY. The fact that he hasn't really said anything on the matter leaves me to believe that he may be opting out. I certainly hope not though.

"Hanging out with him sucks because all the women flock to him. Let's see, he's been on the cover of GQ, is rich and famous, hits for average and power and is a helluva nice guy." - Tim Raines on Derek Jeter
He'd said something about that if the fans appreciated him, he'd stay. I'm also glad that he posed with some PAL kids (Police Athletics League), since they'd once dropped his ads, then brought them back.
I can't worry excessively about whether he'll stay or leave. It's up to him and his greedy agent. I just want him to keep playing very hard for us this season.
