When I first entered the stadium I was on the main level which you can access the 100 or 200 sections. The pic that I took was on the last row of the last section on the 1b corner in the 200's. There was no way I can go up to the third level from the 200's. Like I said, I don't know anything about the 300's because I didn't even attempt to go up the ramp. All I know is that The Lower Level and Second Level (100's and 200's) are on the same level, and are both easily accessible by either walking down the stairs, or up them.
Parks I've been to- RYS, NYS, Shea, Citi, CBP, Fenway,Dodger, At&T, Oakland, Nationals, Wrigley, US Cellular and Target Field.

Those date back to the old setup of the stadium for football, when they would bring in moveable bleachers into the outfield to parallel the football sideline. Fans walked down the stairs to the field level to get to those bleachers. I'm surprised they didn't remove them when they built Mt. Davis, but then again, they aren't great seats for baseball, and they'd be blocked by football seats.

Couple I've snapped and don't believe I posted in the other thread. I still think it's a good baseball park as far as sight lines are concerned. If the Raiders ever get their own place (hopefully shared ala Giants' Stadium) the Coliseum could be refurbished ala Dodger Stadium into a nice park again.

The park is a great pitchers park with all the foul ground, something that just doesn't exist anywhere else anymore. The A's should exploit that to the max!

Get rid of Mt. Davis and things would be good again!

Fantastic photos redv! I agree with you one thousand percent on getting rid of Mt. Davis (and the Traitors while they are at it) and bringing back this park to it's former glory. I so miss those evenings in the late 60's and early 70's at the OAC with the A's and their loud kelly green and gold uni's . . . with ole Monte Moore shouting out the broadcast into my ear from my transister radio! And the smells of food in that park were fabulous . . . as well as the old rinky dink banjo players who used to rove around the ballpark. Sight lines were great too . .at least I seen everything I ever went to see. (we weren't so particular in that day in age . . lol). And bring back the "ice plant" to the right and left field hill leading down to the fence, I believe it was up behind the bleacher seats.

This obviously isn't the best looking stadium, but it's always an interesting park to check out on TV because there is ALOT going on. Very "busy" place. Can people walk around the "Mt. Davis" part before games? i know it's closed during the game, but it would be cool to wander up there just to experience how high above the action one truly is.

Loved watching the throwback game on MNF here last night. Very cool, the Raiders and Chargers both looked great in their throwbacks. Watching it be played on a baseball diamond was even cooler, added a bit to the nostalgia.

Same. It was definetly old school.

Even though I absolutely hate the Raiders, I just love their wacky fans, and for a team that hasn't done crap in almost 7 years the fans are very into it.

It's the Raiders' fault that the Coliseum got ruined with Mount Davis, so they should either have to share a stadium with the 49ers or get moved to L.A.

Not to get off topic, but I still feel bad for the 49ers though.
I feel *good* for the 49ers, since they're finally getting a new stadium!

You don't *want* the 49ers to be stuck in that ugly broken down obsolete junk heap called Candlestick Park...

    ...right?

Here is my Cad drawing of the original Coliseum layout.

    Baseball

    Football

I think I'm close on the original seat colors but they have changed a few times over the years.
Also I think I'm close on the sideline footbal seats but its hard to find photos, so if anyone could help....

^ It may have been 'enough' for the average fan, but you can't tell me the players want to be stuck in a dump like that. The Stick is old, obsolete, UGLY, and falling apart. Stick a fork in it. It's DONE.

the players spend very little time there - doubt that they care, almost all workouts are at the santa clara facility.
the locker room is spacious and reasonably modern.

I was unsure. I mistook "the Reds are ________" for "the Mets are _________" on the bleacher sign. Couldn't make out the last word.

Why not ask Wendell Davis. Took only one play at the Vet to rupture *both* patellar tendons.

Where did the football seats come from in the Mount Davis version? IIRC, in the original layout, they just wheeled them in on casters. Do they do this now, or do the football seats fold out of the wall like at the Metrodome?
