    How come (college thread)

During my time in college, I spent my work-study days doing office/video work for the St. John's Redmen (I refuse to call them by their real names) and when I transferred, I did work for the Fordham Rams. Even though I know the real reason why players avoid Northeast schools, I was wondering if it seemed unfair that Northeast schools cannot truly compete for a shot at the College World Series. In the history of my existance, I can never recall a Northeast school making it into the Series let alone the Super Regionals. I know Notre Dame made it one year but they are a Mid-West school or close to it. It seems even more unfair that Charlotte, a Southern school, when they joined the A-10, they just completly own the conference because they have a pure recruiting advantage because they are in the South and I, in my opinion (sorry for my crying), robbed Fordham of a shot at the tournament because Charlotte in no way, shape, or form, belongs in the A-10 in any sport because the A-10 is a Northern conference. They should do like what Miami did before joining the ACC and stay independent for baseball because somebody told me it might hurt them in the long run (Richmond has suffered a little since joining the A-10). I wanted to bring this question out and then I will stop my whining, do you think the Tournament should be divided into eight regions based on geography or (somebody brought this up to me, I am totally against this idea but internet bulletin boards usually have ridiculous ideas) break off from the NCAA and form their own association. Once again I apologize for my crying but I am trying to promote a universal view of college baseball instead of a Southern/Western mentallity that currently exists.

The reason regions were taken away is the northeastern teams would get pummeled when they got to the CWS. Maine put up a good fight one year. I believe they came in fourth. Along the way they beat Floyd Bannister of ASU, the top pitcher in the draft. Then they kept going back and getting wacked in two. For the most part the northeast teams did not fare well. The CWS is not about fair. It's about being the best. If the teams from the northeast were good enough, they would win regions, super regions and get to the CWS.
