The immortal words of Hank Severeid

Found this quote while doing some research on something else:

Hank Severeid: "... let me assure you that while the Browns are no longer on the baseball scene, their memory will never die."

I guess this board helps the former Browns catcher's words ring true.

The best Browns/Orioles catcher of alltime.
"(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

    what a great find, Dave.

Hank died in 1968, by the way. And he had been around: played an extensive amount of time in the National League plus played for the New York Yankees and played in the nation's capital. yet he saw something special about the Browns.
